That Time of Year Again!

Here we are again, embarking on the Christmas Season.
I made a wreath for my door and I love how it turned out.I was inspired by this video HERE.
I used my cricut to cut all the leaves and used various Christmas decorations.
The star on the left side was made using a template from HERE.
It's a fun project and would be great to do with your kids, plus the directions are easy to follow.

Dissembled and Reassembled

I love my moleskine's for journaling but was getting tired of the way all the inks and paints would soak through and come out in several different places.
I decided to take my newest one a part and punch holes in covers and pages so I could use binder rings.
Now I can remove a page and do what I want to it and then put it back with no messy pages, unless I want a messy page.

A Dog's Purpose (from a 6-year-old) Repost

Anyone who knows me well, knows I love animals and do rescue work with dogs and cats.
It's my passion and what I love.
At this moment I have 4 dogs,2 cats,and 10 rats,YES 10 rats,2 sugar gliders and a cockatoo.
I love each and every one.
Anyhoo,I wanted to share this little story,if you are a dog lover like me you'll understand.

A Dog's Purpose (from a 6-year-old)

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife, Lisa, and their little boy, Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.
I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home
As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience
The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker's family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on.
Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for awhile after Belker's death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, 'I know why.'
Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation.
He said, 'People are born so they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?' The six-year-old continued, 'Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.'

Bless all of God's Creatures!

I Believe In Fairys!

If we open our minds to enjoyment, we might find tranquil pleasures spread about us on every side. We might live with the angels that visit us on every sunbeam, and sit with the fairies who wait on every flower.
~ Samuel Smiles

My Fairy Jar To Hold My Dreams!

When I was young,I used to daydream about having my very own Fairy.
I looked but never could I find one.I still believe in Fairy's,I've never seen one but I never seen an Angel either, and I believe in them!

The Positive Side Of Life!

Living on Earth is expensive,
but it does include a free trip around the sun every year.
How long a minute is depends on what side of the
bathroom door you’re on.
Birthdays are good for you;
the more you have,
the longer you live.
Happiness comes through doors you
didn’t even know you left open.
Ever notice that the people who are late are often much jollier
than the people who have to wait for them?
Most of us go to our grave
with our music still inside of us.
You may be only one person in the world,
but you may also be the world to one person.
Some mistakes are too much fun
to only make once.
Don’t cry because it’s over;
smile because it happened.
We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
and all are different colors….
but they all exist very nicely in the same box.
A truly happy person is one who
can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
Have an awesome day,
and know that someone who thinks you’re great
has thought about you today!
“And that person was me.”….
Please don’t keep this message to yourself
send it to those who mean so much to you.

Christmas Day is over and all the preparation's for just one day seems silly now that I am older.Christmas is hard to really enjoy without little children to share it with.
It becomes just another day except that our Savior was born that day and we should be celebrating him.
A new year means a new beginning of everything.
I am looking forward to a New Year,a year that brings hope for those who have none and jobs for everyone who needs one, prosperity and happiness to everyone.
This year, lets all try to be kinder, more tolerant and loving of others,to try and make this a better world.
Lets make our resolutions about others and not ourselves.

I lost my Dad on December 5th so I understand how important it is to tell those you love, you love them all the time,be kind and always share your feelings with them.I was able to do that and in the end I was at Peace with his passing.

Bring it on,2011
